Ella Misma Se Creo

It just hit me recently how long I have shared myself in this digital space of blogging and social media. As I browsed through Facebook one morning, I began scrolling and the memories tab opened, showing memories from almost 10 years ago. My oh my, there is so much I have experienced and shared over the last 10 years. I was really able to take a step back, reflect and absorb so many life changes with optimism. What came of this was a beautiful and gracious epiphany, ELLA MISMA SE CREO OR SHE CREATED HERSELF. Life served me lemons, sweet tea and a smooth sweet lemonade mix at times but through all of it, I observed that I remained committed to creating a positive, beautiful and enjoyable life for myself despite anything I went through.

Last year, I privately held a burial ceremony for the woman I used to be--the grieving mother and daughter. I no longer wanted her to be a part of my story. I wanted to birth a beautiful, gracious, optimistic, and ultra-feminine woman that would openly embrace motherhood and womanhood and learn to dance and rhythmically move her hips only how a woman could even through storms.

With every sway of my hip and bend of my back, there was an intentional movement within my soul to ignite a love, intensity and power. This alone,  unlocked the chambers that allowed me to reconnect with knowing how whole I have always been and began realizing I was complete just as I was. I by doing the necessary inward work created a woman that healed from past wounds, forgave herself, and saw the light within that would harness gifts and talents with unlimited power.
