This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of experiencing the True Beauty Social & Makeup Battle presented by True Beauty Artistry. You all may remember Britaine' Bell owner of True Beauty Artistry. Well she's still working it girl and doing it fabulously with her yearly makeup event here in Memphis. The True Beauty Social brought out some of the city's established as well as new talent in the makeup and artistic industry.
I couldn't resist getting a little social and capturing candids like Kenya, owner of Kocke' Cosmetics and her darling little diva in training. Fashion and makeup, you can't have one without the other in my opinion. Both are beautiful artistic mediums of self expression.
The industry panel was so fulfilling professionally. Each guests gave very transparent and forthcoming advice on topics ranging from branding and marketing yourself, overcoming obstacles, and how to stand out in your perspective market. Takeisha Berry Brooks (left), owner of A Natural Affair Hair Salon and founder of Naturals in the City, gave a moving insight into leverage yourself in the digital realm and taking time to recover personally through trials.
The True Beauty Social was a true success. Britaine' used her talents to motivate and push other makeup artists to push through challenges and pursue your dreams. Her platform of growing and fostering relationships with not only other makeup artists but artistic and creative professionals is one of great promise.
Enhancing your beauty and not covering it up is the True Beauty Artistry motto and Britaine' is staying true not only to her company's message but her own as well.
