As creatives, we all get projects that refresh us and renew the spirit to create. I entitle all of those in my files as my love projects. My latest bridal project was just that. It was full of love, friendship, and happiness which made it easy to create garments that were suiting. Go Behind the Veil with Kim & her bridal party....
The bride Kim and I have known each other for a very long time. We grew up in the same church, our parents and aunts and uncles went to high school with each other, and my dad is even buried right next to her uncle. Therefore, we are like honorary family. The bridal party was so so so very cool to work with. It's like I was sewing for my sister and close girlfriends.
Kim reached out to me during the summer by sending inspiration pictures of these gorgeous black bridesmaid dresses. I was so happy to design and make sleek after 5 bridesmaid gowns. The wedding theme was very fitting of Kim's style with a fabulous color palette of black, cream and mauve.
.: THE BRIDESMAID DRESS :.
It wouldn't be like a bridal party to not indulge in selfies and pics before showtime! We snapped it up honey! Then, it was show time #willinghamwed2016 was finally upon us.
.: THE RECEPTION LOOK :.
After searching for the perfect reception dress with no luck, Kim called and asked if I could squeeze in her reception dress as well. Of course, I said yes. I knew her style and was excited to make a dress for her to be able to look sexy for her man and dance the night away. I made sure I was there for Kim every step away of the way dressing her to make her entrance now as Mrs. Willingham.
I'm still on a high from working with Kim and her bridal party. They were a girl's dream come true. I mean I thoroughly enjoyed going Behind the Veil with Kim and being a part of her wedding journey.
If you'd like to have Andrea Fenise to Go Behind the Veil with you as a bride, please reach out to me here. It would be my absolute pleasure.
