I thought I'd share with you all a bridal piece I've been working on for another beautiful bride. Traci initially met with me about designing bridal jumpsuits for her bridal party. We both thought what an epic and "Yas honey" moment to have bridesmaids in jumpsuits. Then after taking a sneek peak into her wedding dress we knew it really wasn't a cohesive look for the aesthetic of her dress. However, the look would stay for her reception number.
As always in my design process, I gather inspiration pictures and sketch the design concept out as I will make it my clients own or add my changes to the look. I wanted to reference the most prominent design elements which is the bodice, train, of course pantsuit.
But of course, I'm designing a piece "inspired by" so I always make a few revisions to make it my own. The overexaggerated bow and vintage brooch sourced from Goodwill in Atlanta gives Traci's look character.
Traci and I had a couple of fittings to make sure the fit was perfect. I love the fitting element of custom because it's allows perfect customization for such a memorable moment.
I was so super excited to get a picture of Traci in the jumpsuit. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Her blue jeweled Badgley Mischka pumps complimented the jumpsuit perfectly. What a gorgeous bride she was?!
