+AS A CREATIVE PROFESSIONAL, SHARE WITH US 5 OF YOUR DAILY CREATIVE HABITS

1. Living an artistic lifestyle. My niche is highly influenced by my environment so I am ever-changing my design space.
2.Cooking! I like to eat with color + I consider myself a master chef (totally in my mind). Even with the simplest things like bacon, eggs + biscuits, I like to plate it as if I’m serving royalty.
3.Getting some sunlight. My new favorite thing is coffee on the patio before the heat of the day takes over.
4.Picking out my shoes before my outfit. Not sure if anyone else does this but I definitely dress from the bottom up. My favorite pieces of the season are oxfords + chunky heels.
5.Working. I am thankful to have a broad range of clients that challenge my design skills. Everyday I get a chance to do it better than the last.

+ADVICE THAT SHAPED YOUR CAREER?

When someone says “ you can’t….” use that as fuel to prove that you can. Everything is achievable with discipline, hard work and the right mindset.

+WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR GOALS PROFESSIONALLY?

To specialize in package design, to do an international campaign, to explore other avenues of the design field, to create furniture and eventually spill over into interior design.

+PAPER, PHOTOS, OR DIGITAL? Which medium do you enjoy working with the most

D I G I T A L, I’m a graphic designer of course. Even though I have a love for texture, I will always side with digital. Digital is more polished, professional.

+YOU TRAVEL A LOT…3 FAVORITE CITIES AND FAVORITE MEAL YOU ATE IN THAT CITY

#1 on my list would be the fish tacos at the Findlay farmers market in Cincinnati, Oh. This is one of my favorite spots. I am a total foodie and I will travel just to place my fork in a plate.

#2 Houston, TX, the Campechana De Mariscos  (seafood cocktail dip) at Goode Co. Seafood, amazingly refreshing.

#3 Gelato anywhere in Europe! You have not had gelato until you’ve been to Italia. It’s made fresh everyday, super cheap and so good.

+ADVICE YOU’D GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

Enjoy the process until your destiny finds you. Timing is everything!

I understand so much more as I have grown, when I look back on the trials that seemed like a marathon in the past, I have learned that it has prepared me for my future.

+WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am inspired by others around me. When you see someone accomplishing so much in such a short amount of time, it motivates you. Even though I do a lot, sometimes I don’t feel like I’m doing enough. One city that I like to visit at least once a year is New York…..it’s so fast pace and picks me up when I feel like I’ve been caught up in the slow motion of things.
